THE EDITOR'S BIKES...

My current bikes are a Raleigh Ascender, which has been converted to a 1930s style tourer, for casual local riding, along with an Italian Mountain bike, which is currently left hand 'drive'.

Above: My Raleigh Ascender and below: Italian Mountain Bike (which has been set up for a left-hander! - and caught me out on my first test run, luckily I wasn't going that fast and as I had decided to go out along the back lane, not down the hill! - so will have the brake cables changed around!

I've swapped the wheels/tyres off the Italian bike with those on the Raleigh...

My Apollo Equipe 12 is now out of the workshop, and the brakes need adjusting and need new cables, which have been ordered.  It will be nice to get on it again, even if it's only for 100 yards or so!!!

I also have an "Eddie Merckx" frame ready to be built up into a 1960/70s racer  using period parts. I have also ordered a pair of wheels/tyres, along with brakes and cables...

I've also been looking at building a couple of bikes, similar to those pictured below:
